As we look to set goals for ourselves as a Board for the coming year, we would like to better understand your thoughts and feelings about some topics related to our congregational health. Our aim is not to generate a detailed, scientifically valid picture of congregational sentiment.
We hope you will take some time – it should take about 10 minutes – to complete this survey. Your responses will be invaluable as we plan for the year, and will help us better serve this church.
Items with a red * are required.
Governance (Decision-Making)
Clarity and agreement around who gets to make what decisions, and where, how, and when they are made.
Relationships among congregants and between congregation, leadership, and staff that are based on respect, assumption of good intent, and mutual belief in each other’s reliability, truth, abilities.
Conflict arises when the needs, values, and interests of two or more people are, or appear to be, incompatible, as is inevitable when people interact. Potential responses include avoidance (active or passive), aggression and competition, or dialog and engagement.
Culture of Welcoming and Belonging
A sense of responsibility for welcoming visitors and new members and intentionally creating a true sense of belonging.
An agreed-upon reflection of the congregation's values and purpose that guides individual and collective behaviors and relationships in non-legalistic ways.
Please rank each of the areas above in terms of how you think the Board should prioritize them
We recognize there is rich diversity at First Universalist. We will use this information to help us understand if there are patterns of response among different groups, or if we have not adequately captured any perspectives. Individual responses will not be shared.
