Understanding End-of-Life Doulas
Seniors are increasingly shifting to a preference for dying at home, away from the medicalized, institutional approach to death. This program will explore the emerging movement for "conscious" dying and the development of end-of-life doulas, and how they differ from Hospice. The presenter, Patricia Harmon, is a trained end-of-life doula and a founder of Limina, an organization dedicated to helping people have a meaningful experience in dying or planning for their death.
